"What's in our way?" There may not be a definitive answer to this. But for the city of Zhengzhou this is indeed a phenomenon that has always existed. "Cultural desert", "one city in a thousand", we may use different words to describe it, the speed of the city's modernisation process is so fast that it has gradually overtaken our ideology. Buzzwords such as "996", "in-roll" and "lie flat" are frequent. Must urban economic construction come at the expense of our cultural life? "Urban construction is not about buildings, but about people; urban construction is about public spaces and streets."
Zhengzhou Le and the Road documents the changes that have taken place in Zhengzhou over the past two years, and explores the community, streets and civic culture in the city today. "It doesn't matter what's blocking the road, when you are overwhelmed by life, take a look at the road under your feet, maybe it will give you the answer.
